Ensuring Policies and procedures for proper inventory management are adhered. Expedite, keep record and reports of all procurement activities performed by the procurement management unit for various functional units within the organization. Participate in preparation and /or reviewing of user requirement, solicitation documents and any other documentation related to organization procurement processes. Manage and coordinate all stores processes and ensure availability of materials, tools and equipment. Ensure stores database is kept and controlled to prevent fraud and misappropriation. Ensure stock checking programs are maintained to the extent that the physical inventory agrees with the supply system records. Work closely with auditors by providing all necessary information during auditing. Acting Head of procurement in the absence of procurement head. Provide advice on procurement issues and best practices in line with the company procurement procedures and protocols in management of local purchase orders and payment requisitions management Process and obtain relevant approvals for materials to be purchased in line with the existing requirements and protocols at payment levels. Negotiate procurement needs with suppliers to establish fair market rates on behalf of the company through established framework agreements. Conduct performance reviews with the suppliers, measuring against required performance standards and market prices of various material procured by the company before issuing POs. Develop strong professional relationships with key suppliers to ensure ongoing quality and reliability of supply. Ensure understanding of the company procurement policies and comply with all SOPs. Provide information to the company stakeholders when the procured items arrive from the suppliers for verification and acceptance. Place orders for supplies through POs as required by the company. Ensure the company benefits from cost savings and value for money.
