Christyn Jane Arias, CHRA, aCPHR, CWWT

I am a recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, driven by a strong interest in maritime psychology and the promotion of mental well-being in high-stress environments. Growing up with a seafaring family member who worked as an OFW has given me a deep, personal understanding of the unique challenges faced by maritime workers. These experiences, along with the scholarships that supported my education, have shaped my perspective and strengthened my commitment to giving back to this field. During my internship in industrial/organizational psychology at a maritime manning agency, I gained valuable insights into the industry's inner workings and the psychological demands on its workforce. Additionally, my experience during clinical psychology internship at a rehabilitation center deepened my understanding of the importance of mental health support. As I continue to develop professionally, I am eager to connect with experts in both the maritime and psychology fields to explore collaborative opportunities that contribute to the well-being of seafarers and other maritime professionals.
