Company Description: Provider or soccer leagues in Netherlands and USA Position: Lead Developer Project: Footy BV provides and organises 5 and 7-a-side leagues for players in Netherlands and USA. They coordinate the fixtures, trophies and officials and were struggling to scale quickly enough to meet demand when I was asked to join their team. During the 18 months that I worked with Footy we replaced their existing website with a progressive web app aimed at providing the players with a better user experience and replaced their existing internal tools with a custom-built admin tool which provided a backend for the PWA as well as integration with Mailchimp and Zendesk. I was responsible for the build from the ground up which started with a workshop with the Footy management team and resulted in building a team of 6 including a product owner, designer and dev team. We followed the agile methodology and the project included a building CICD pipeline which deployed staging and production builds to AWS.
