Setup 50,000 students in Office 365 with Skydrive Pro and Email 3. Deploying a robust, enterprise Wireless network in every district location to support even low power mobile devices 4. Moving the Data Center to 95% Virtualization on the server platform 5. Building out a Disaster Recovery site for the district 6. Migration to Exchange 2010, Lync 2010 and Voicemail to Microsoft UC 7. Upgrading to SQL 2008 in a completely virtualized environment using VMWare 8. Decommisioning the legacy mainframe 9. Consolidating SAN's from 4 different platforms to 1 unified environment 10. Bond Senior IT Project Manager
Responsible for a budget of over $20 million to implement Bond Initiatives in four categories: 1. Managed construction of a redundant 100 mile Fiber Optic network interconnecting all schools in the District. Selected and Upgraded a new WAN infrastructure running 10 Gbps on the backbone. Established 3 data centers with 2 different ISP's providing SIP trunking and 200 mbs Internet each. 2. Selected and implemented a new LAN infrastructure to provide 10 Gbs performance to the Edge in every District location. 3. Selected and implemented a new VOIP phone system district wide. 4. Selected and implemented a new centralized Video Distribution system, as well as video display units along with sound field enhancement in each classroom in every school.

•Managed various projects, including the implementation of Michigan1, an initiative to standardize all IT throughout 20 MI State Depts. •Responsible for a high performing team supporting 4400 PC’s across 10 counties and over 250 client sites. •Recognized by top mgt as a go-to person for infrastructure projects. •Founding member of the Services Core Team, a cross-functional team identifying needs and areas for improvement, develop plans to remediate the issues, and implement them. •Key member of team that developed the RFP for the contract covering all IT Services for the State of MI. • Member of the DIT Desktop Steering Committee. Led the Field Services As Is subcommittee, co-led the Help Desk As Is subcommittee, and was an active participant in the Enterprise Server Services subcommittee. Part of the organizing force behind the implementation of the new Department of IT, which took 2000 IT staff from 19 different State departments and combined them into 1 new department.

IT Manager 15 - Deputy to the CIO
•Directed 2 mgrs and 26 staff, supervising all Server Support, Email Admin, Telecom, Tech Support and Help Desk. •Developed statewide standards for a Project Management (PM) Methodology, a PM Tool, and a PM Training curriculum. •Managed consolidation of servers and GroupWise email statewide. Reduced from 5 domains and 23 post offices to 1 domain and 4 post offices in a clustered server environment attached to an EMC SAN. •Migrated to a unique real-time backup solution. •Managed all IT aspects of construction of a 500,000 sq. ft, 6 story office bldg, including wiring, network config, server room config and construction, training room config, and server and PC migration. •Managed migration to Windows 2K and Office XP in Fall '01. •Managed technology portions of building 4 new district offices. •Managed migration from T/R to a switched Ethernet environment. •Responsible for budget preparation, maintenance and compliance with the department strategic plan.
