Brianna Forbes

As a current member of 4-H, I have held the position of president for my club and of the Eastern District Council, and have completed light horse and canine projects. I have achieved highly in public speaking competitions, as well as represented Canada at the 2018 National Conference in Washington D.C, and the 2017 Global Summit in Ottawa. In the summers, I compete with my horse in 4-H competitions, and at local fairs. I have also participated in my local drill team as well.

My responsibilities included organizing events to engage the members of my community through activities such as weekly yoga classes, painting classes and music jamborees. I had the opportunity to fundraise for the Targettville Recreation center as well, and by the summer I was able to raise over $800.00 over the course of the summer. With these donations, we were able to renovate establish a new area of the building for the camp.

My responsibilities included caring for the children, engaging youth, planning activities and field trips and allowing the children to learn and become young leaders in the community. I was able to help them engage in the camp’s healthy food initiative and positively influence their methods of disposing waste with our camp’s green team as well.
