Imagine if you went to work on Monday and your boss said you were now in charge of human resources, marketing, product development, accounting, cost control, employee development, customer service, community relations,growth strategy and more. On a smaller scale this is what I did every day on a much smaller scale. In the restaurant business, most operators fail in the first year or two, due to an inability to master key elements of running a profitable small business. Fortunately for me my focus was on making a difference with my customers, the community and the global issues I care about. The business was a vehicle to accomplish that mission which made the day to day tasks very rewarding.
