Analyze funding opportunities across the various firm strategies, which involves assessing fixed income and interest rate investment opportunities from both a macro-economic and security specific perspective, eventually leading to the recommendation of appropriate action or trades to the investment and funding committees Monitoring of global economic trends, supply-and-demand market dynamics and unique market opportunities to develop strategic plans for the overall funding operations of both leveraged and non-levered funds Broad knowledge of capital markets across a variety of assets classes, including: fixed coupon bonds, currencies, mortgage-backed securities, floating rate securities as well as various derivative products (including, but not limited to: interest rate swaps, futures, credit default swaps, etc.) Area of coverage and trading responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Cash & liquidity management - Dynamic interest rate hedging, including futures, interest rate swaps and cash products - Execution & management of foreign exchange exposure - Cross-currency funding and trading - Securities lending and repurchase agreements - Negotiating, implementing and monitoring funding, cash utilization and leverage across the firm - Interest rate and credit risk management - Quantitative scenario analysis on various hedging and funding strategies
