This internship reinforced my technical skills by exposing me to different functionality and enhancing my ability to derive practical solutions to real challenges. Component testing was a major focus of my internship, and as a result, my experience in technical writing and critical thinking has diversified my skill-set as an engineer.

* Mid-Range Mine Planner * Create quarterly forecast plans using MSAtlas, MSSO * Audit weekly and monthly plans * Liaison with short range, long range planning, and operations to ensure plan compliance * Continuous improvement projects * Develop contingencies to honor quarterly forecast, evaluate impacts to longer term plans * Improved forecast process by consolidating workflow into one scheduling tool, removing multiple hand offs between various mine planning groups, decreasing lead time for completing plans and improved scenario management by: * 1) Improving block model material binning strategy to accommodate streamlined setup in MSSO, allowing more robust routing and dynamic cutoff changes during scheduling process * 2) Changing cut design criteria, implementing digline sequencing method, giving the ability to optimize shorter scheduling periods without manual cut digitization and scheduling
