I taught full-time for the 2007-2008 academic year and customized the English curriculum to cater to needs of 9th and 11th graders. I was a key asset to the initiation and restoration of a district-wide English curriculum. I was responsible for designing multiple units based on English content areas in conjunction with successfully preparing students for the Colorado Student Assessment Programs, Advanced Placement Exams, Scholastic Assessment Tests, and American College Testing standardized tests. I was effective in keeping meticulous records on student achievement and progress. I participated in all faculty and teacher workshop meetings, parent-teacher conferences. I was a vital resource and mentor to my fellow colleagues and students and became a successful mentor within the district.
