✍️ I’ve been involved with AFL for 25+ years - I was a former player 🏉 with a career spanning 17 seasons and 364 games. I captained the Western Bulldogs from 2006 until my retirement in 2010. I took the club’s best and fairest honours in 1999, 2002 and 2006, and I hold the club’s record 🏆 🏆 for games played. ✍️I was inducted into the AFL Hall of Fame in 2014, and sit on the interchange bench in the official Footscray-Western Bulldogs Team of the Century. I was also a Victorian state-of-origin representative and played International Rules for Australia against Ireland and have been named an All Australian on six occasions. Since retiring 10+ years ago, I’ve been a part of the phenomenal Fox Footy Team 🏉 with a key role calling and providing special comments for AFL games, as well as Saturday Stretch where we provide the best wrap of the day in footy. More recently (2017) as the semi-final of the first season of AFLW unfolded, my wife Donna identified a gap in the market for gender-specific protective wear; this led us to tackle our first business venture together – Zena Sport. 🌐 (www.zenasport.co) Having witnessed the rapid growth in women’s contact sports, particularly Aussie rules footy, and after 17 seasons of watching me compete at the top level, Donna understood the impact footy can have on even the most robust bodies.
