- After many years in the hospitality industry, I felt it was time for a pivot into the flooring industry and I accepted a role to advance the sales growth for a large player in the flooring division of the Restoration field - Here I learned under one of the best in the business and shadowed my friend to acclimate to the flooring industry - I was determined to grow my knowledge & familiarize myself with all aspects of flooring; Studying Material specification sheets, talking with company stakeholders and driving partnership conversations with installers were all key to establishing growth in my position - I was fortunate to be able to navigate both sides of the industry; insurance restoration & retail. I had the opportunity to witness some amazing results as well as being faced with communication and leadership conflicts externally that forced me to grow as a professional to where I am today - I thank the people that gave me the opportunity to cut my teeth in flooring, ultimately leading to the business I would eventually go and start on my own, Above and Beyond Concepts.

- Selected by Cactus Club to work and learn in their internal management training program - In this program, I learned all facets of the roles, customer service systems and culture enhancement tools to provide the best possible restaurant service - Developed strong relationships with senior leadership staff and management team at BC locations

- Had the opportunity to lead Golden Eagle Residence & Golf Resort as General Manager which grew in me a love for customer service and the importance of building a team based on integrity and healthy team culture - This 5 year stretch enhanced my service background in which our Golf Club was known as having the best customer service in the Lower Mainland - Under my watch, I helped launch the largest Ladies Night in Canada (300+ woman); Replicated similar event for the Mens category which grew attendance and profit margins for ownership group - Promoted to Golf Shop Mgr by 25 & General Manager by 28. - Created the O’Neil Classic Golf Tournament Classic (Jeff O’Neil from CFOX) - Responsible for hiring, training and retaining management team which ended up spending 5 years together (rare in the hospitality/golf industry)
