Billy Baldwin

I found a great passion for story telling when I started a cookie company years ago by creating a imaginary world called, “Cookie Island”, to help market those cookies. This passion led to me developing children’s books and screenplays. Being dyslexic the reading and writing posed an emotional and practical challenge, but my love for visual and creative development balanced a working relationship. Currently, I have created nine books, have won numerous awards for our efforts and have begun to attract television and film interests. I feel extremely lucky to have found a great passion for storytelling, birthing idea with pencil and paper, my weapon of choice. A lot of my creations come from walking and paddling at sea, in the small coastal town where I live, Sag Harbor NY. I have developed a annual award at my high school to help students find their life passion and the ability to execute it, in hope to spark a lifelong career earlier. I have also started a dyslexia foundation to help keep her teachings alive, the late Dr. Gertrude Webb as well as charity to help save our local water, called, The Great Peconic Race.
