Design engineer responsible for engineering and technical aspects of a hydrofoiling craft. Lead structural, actuation and analysis engineer responsible for the hydrofoiling appendages. Closely liaising with the hydrodynamic and control team to generate clear and concise performance requirements. Build efficient methods within tools, including FEA, CFD, CAD, python and excel, that allow a wider range of concepts to be explored with tight timelines. Draw from a sound knowledge of engineering principles to provide successful solutions that challenge traditional engineering boundaries.

Global FEA work using Altair HyperWorks - creating models and post-processing results of the complex structure

Work alongside mechanics to ensure a session-ready car. Responsibilities include: Tire prep/pressure management, engine warm-up, eueling, general maintenance, set-up changes as requested by the race engineer

Injecting my knowledge on the aerodynamic design process into a very inexperienced team. I aided with and encouraged the upskilling in the basics of aerodynamic theory and CFD

Composite design primarily through FE modeling. Working alongside a world-class team of composite engineers. Developed a strong knowledge with composite and contact FEA models in Altair HyperWorks

I led the custom planetary gearbox manufacture, testing, and development. Communication was a key skill in this role both verbally and through engineering drawings. I worked with the team's gear cutting, EDM wire cutting, and NC machining sponsors to produce the gearboxes. I also got to use my machining skillset to turn and mill the blanks for the various parts of the gearboxes that were being completed by these sponsors.

Worked with pre-impregnated carbon, dry fibers – glass and carbon, resins, various core materials, metals, and timber to manufacture many components for the car. Manufacturing tooling, moulds including the monocoque itself were the major highlights of this role. I learned a significant amount of knowledge on the intricacies of composite manufacturing.

A part-time job as a Machine operator I was able to effectively operate face mills, snow grinders, a CNC Mill, and a CNC Lathe. I learned to program and run G-code where I became self-sufficient with basic procedures
