• Cross kingdom development and optimization of digital PCR and high-resolution melt (HRM) based assay for simultaneous broad range microbial detection. • Validation of two rapid digital PCR and HRM curve analysis assays for syphilis detection and subtyping by universal bacterial species distinction and discriminating loci targeting in whole blood samples. • Custom gene fragment design for HRM database generation to circumvent the challenges caused by unculturable organisms.

Summer Internship
Final year project: "A greener approach in synthesis of silver nanoparticles employed as environmental pollutant sensing with reference to pesticide detection" • Developed a low-cost, environment friendly, energy-efficient, and simple method of fabricating AgNPs using clove extract. • The synthesized AgNPs were used for the sensing of pesticides including Thiamethoxam, Dimethoate and Mancozeb

Undergraduate Researcher
Computational Biology Lab (Dr. Chittabrata Mal): • Analyzed ovarian cancer miRNA gene expression data collected from Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) to identify the differentially expressed genes (DEGs). • Studied the gene ontologies (GO), pathways, protein-protein interactions, and co-expression of these DEGs to identify highly correlated genes. • Discovered reliable targets for high grade ovarian cancer disease based on the regulatory mechanism data of the genes and survival analysis study.
