I lead HyperPod at AWS, Amazon's purpose-built compute platform for AI and ML workloads. Our focus at HyperPod is on designing and delivering AI-optimized compute environments — giving customers the infrastructure primitives they need to train, fine-tune, and deploy foundation models at scale, reliably and efficiently, without the undifferentiated heavy lifting of managing complex distributed systems. HyperPod sits at the intersection of bare-metal GPU performance, intelligent orchestration, and resilient cluster management (supporting Kubernetes & Slurm) — enabling teams to run large-scale distributed training jobs on purpose-built hardware like Trainium and the latest NVIDIA GPU families, with built-in fault tolerance and automated node recovery that dramatically reduces job interruption at scale.

Led Stripe's data infrastructure organization (spread across US, EU and India), owning the full spectrum of data platform engineering — from real-time streaming to large-scale batch processing, data lake architecture, search & analytics. Built and operated a high-scale platform designed to keep pace with Stripe's hyper-growth, underpinned by a modern open-source stack including Kafka, Flink, Spark, Iceberg, Presto/Trino, Pinot, Airflow, Elasticsearch, and AWS-native services (S3, SQS, DDB etc). Delivered the foundational data substrate that thousands of external & internal workloads depend on daily.

1. Sr Manager at AWS S3: I lead the S3 Actions organization which is responsible for a portfolio of Storage Management features like Lifecycle Management for expiring and transitioning objects between storage classes (including tape storage - AWS Glacier), Batch Operations and Async APIs. 2. Sr Manager at AWS Kinesis Managed Streaming for Kafka (MSK): I built a tech organization from ground up in Cambridge, UK for AWS Kinesis to launch high scale Managed Streaming Services. The teams were responsible for the core data plane within the Managed Streaming for Kafka Service. They also owned building out a new managed service for connecting different streaming services to enable data movemen t (Managed Kafka Connect). 3. Sr Manager at Merch by Amazon: Lead the manufacturing, warehouse management and order fulfillment technology teams for make-on-demand products. Lead the conceptualization of the product, built the team and roadmap from ground up. Delivered the technology which powers multiple international manufacturing sites supporting several customizable physical products. Built a team consisting of software engineers, engineering managers, technical program managers, applied scientists, data engineers, system engineers and quality assurance engineers. 4. Engineering Manager at Retaill Pricing Systems: I managed a team of engineers responsible for Amazon’s Competitive Pricing Systems. The team owned large scale distributed software systems which implement algorithms responsible for setting sharp prices for the millions of items that Amazon sells worldwide thus generating customer trust. 5. Engineering Manager at Amazon Appstore: Managed a software development team which was responsible for the developer registrations on Amazon’s Android Appstore Developer Portal, Developer Promotions Console and Appstore transaction costing. 6.
