I graduated from the University of Rhode Island College of Nursing in 2014. Currently, I am working as a staff nurse at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London, CT. My units care focuses around medsurg and Oncology. Although these are two completely different ends of the nursing spectrum I thoroughly enjoy caring for both patients. Taking care of medsurg patients strengthens my core nursing foundation and knowledge, while Oncology patients teach you about a broader area of expertise. My dream job would be on a maternity or pediatric unit. However, I feel as though it's crucial to understand the nursing process thru a medsurg perspective before expanding ones horizons. Within a few years, I plan to attend graduate school in hopes of becoming a Certified Nurse Midwife. Registered Nurse License obtained 7/21/2014 Registered Nurse Licenses in both RI & CT
