Anthony Atlas
Founder & Managing Director @ Science Fair Fund
About
I founded Science Fair Fund to back founders who showed unusual technical initiative long before they started companies: alumni of ISEF and STS.We invest at pre-seed and seed. Fund I targets $5 million and a 40-company core. We generally enter with $50,000, then use a $500,000 adaptive sleeve either to add another $50,000 to the strongest-evidence opportunities or to add qualified initial positions when the opportunity set is unusually deep. We target about 1% initial ownership when round terms permit, then use company progress, ownership economics, and later-stage evidence to decide where follow-on capital is most valuable. The thesis starts with a governed dataset of 55,084 verified alumni and 459 alumni-founded, VC-investable companies. In the mature 2006-2020 cohort, 150 companies raised at least $500,000; 105 reached Series A+; 43 reached a documented $100 million+ outcome; and 23 reached $1 billion+ (15.3%). Fifteen are confirmed closed (10.0%). In the tighter 2011-2015 comparison, the $1 billion+ rate is 15.6% versus approximately 5.4% for YC's 2010-2015 cohorts in PitchBook's June 2023 analysis—2.9x, rounded to 3x. The populations differ, and the values are documented current, peak, or disclosed exit values—not realized fund returns. Our data is a sourcing and prioritization advantage, not an autopilot. We use stage-specific ranking to focus attention, then underwrite founder progress, ownership, round terms, and portfolio fit. Before SFF, I spent 15 years commercializing frontier technology across climate, energy, agriculture, and AI, helping raise more than $75 million and build more than $10 million in recurring revenue across 13 countries. I won first place at ISEF in 2004 and later served as a Grand Awards judge. If you are an ISEF or STS founder or co-investor, I would like to hear from you: https://sciencefairfund.comAccredited LPs can indicate intended investment interest here: https://sff.decilehub.com/pacts?pid=kKk4yvNj

Science Fair Fund invests at pre-seed and seed in companies founded by ISEF and STS alumni. Fund I: $5M target | $2.5M minimum close | $10M hard cap | $50K standard entry | up to $100K initial or early exposure in strongest-evidence opportunities | 40-company core. A $500K adaptive sleeve can top up the highest-confidence companies or add qualified positions when the pipeline is unusually deep. We target about 1% initial ownership when round terms permit. Capital above the $5M target is intended primarily for pro rata in the highest-scoring portfolio companies. Our sourcing and diligence platform tracks 55,084 verified alumni and 459 VC-investable alumni-founded companies. In the mature 2006-2020 funded cohort, 70% reached Series A+, 28.7% reached a documented $100M+ outcome, and 15.3% reached $1B+. Current investments include eGlint, NeoSplice Therapeutics, and Apacendo Health. Head of Product & Growth
I joined ClimateAi as a late co-founder when the company was pre-product and pre-revenue. My job was to help ClimateAi go zero-to-one and establish product-market-fit in the agriculture vertical (and then subsequent verticals). The growth team at ClimateAi was responsible for evaluating new market opportunities, getting initial sales, figuring out the playbook for success, and then onboarding and training sales personnel to repeat and scale the go-to-market motion.

Podcast Host
Podcast host interviewing guests on the topic of "High Velocity R&D". Technology is invading other traditional “hard” industries like agriculture, medicine, space, etc. These frontiers require building products at the intersection of software, hardware, and science. However, many of the best practices for lean, iterative product development assume you’re only working with software. They break down under the constraints of hardware and science. So, how do you build new products and achieve product-market fit at the frontiers of technology (when you don’t have a Bell-labs size budget and endless time)? What are the new rules people are figuring out?
