Full responsibility for Finance and all related components.

* Develop detailed business modeling parameters- ensuring scalability and sustainable operations. * High level financial analysis and support. * Provision of strategic insight into the systems possibilities and requirements. * Provide leadership to all staff within Finance. * Divisional forecasts on a monthly, quarterly and half-yearly basis. * Oversee the management and forecasting of cash with strong emphasis on working capital management manage the working capital for the Brands with a particular focus of debtors collections * Ensure compliance with IFRS, group policies and statutory requirements

* Reporting and accounting as per regulatory and legal requirements * Development and implementation of business strategy with a focus on Operations strategy to ensure efficiencies * design processes * benchmark performance standards * control operating costs * and drive activity. * Contributing to strategic planning and development as a member of Executive Team. * Planning and co-coordinating business process to ensure effective interface with other business divisions, both within the Netcare Group and with associated external stakeholders. * Negotiating legal contracts, valuations, in conjunction with functional Heads of Departments and Netcare Executives. * Annual budgets, forecasting and reporting at a Board and Executive level. * Recruitment, selection, appraisal and development and retention of management staff * including talent identification and management in line with group transformation objectives.

* Management of reporting and administrative aspects of the South African Treasury operations along with accounting for Group Finance Companies. * Head Office Cost Centres and sundry companies and general ledgers accounted for at Group level. * Quality control of and review of information generated by cost centres/head office companies. * Timely review of staff performance measured within Maximising performance. * Management and control of the quarterly budgeting process for Head Office divisions. * Implementation and maintenance of adequate internal controls within the treasury environment. * Liaising with Group Finance with regard to group accounting requirements and policies. * Liaising with Group functions (Legal, Human Resources, and Internal Audit etc.) assistance to other divisions on accurate accounting, budgeting and forecasting. Assistance to other divisions as required on an ad hoc basis.

* Completion and submission of Income Tax returns for 212 companies. * Liaising with SARS and external consultants regarding tax matters. * Resolving queries with SARS. * Reporting on tax matters to Group Financial Manager. * Management of the Netcare Tax Department of 4 members. * Introduction and roll out of tax packs for completion at year end. * Review of detailed tax computations. * Monthly balance sheet reviews of head office companies.

Responsible for the consolidation and financial reporting of the Gaming Division results.
