Transitioned to the IT organization as the company was preparing for an ERP migration and needed an application/services focused technology leader. 5-10 direct reports divided between Infrastructure, Applications and Security disciplines. Plus supplemental external/contract project support. Initially focused on leading the Applications team plus external software development through ERP customization, QA, and data migration. Ensured a successful go-live including product shipments the same week as cutover. Consolidated ~25 applications/interfaces into an on-prem ERP/MES and SaaS PLM. Pivoted to comprehensive IT leadership, understanding executive and business needs and enabling the business through information services. Established business intelligence capabilities. Established policy, process and controls to align with quality (ISO 9001) and security frameworks (NIST 800.53, NIST 800.171, CMMC).

Hired and developed team skills, breadth and depth in line with SMB client needs and industry trends. Led technical sales for Microsoft, VMware, and Storage practices. Developed technical plans/"road maps" for customers. Established service delivery process standards Improved security practices.

Led team of 5+ Server Engineers in billable engineering services. Partnered with storage & network teams to provide solutions and support to SMB customers. Provided technical sales support. Architected solutions built from Microsoft, VMware, and Citrix technologies, virtualizing workloads and reducing TCO. Established technical and project processes. Led engineering team in technical sales and engineering project services delivery. Forecasted and achieved services revenue and gross margin targets. Improved efficiency through process, documentation and training. Transitioned customers from physical to virtual infrastructures, and their first public cloud services (e.g. Exchange online).

Resolved computing problems encountered by employees of NASA, NOAA, university professors and graduate students both on and off premises. Improved the reliability of technology at the center through process engineering and focused project implementation.

Wrote and tested Java code for the IMS e-business Connector for Java team.
