Ahmed Al Zarooni

I’m a senior executive with more than twenty years of experience working inside complex organisations, primarily in banking and health insurance. Most of my career has involved leading transformation, culture, and customer experience in environments where decisions matter, pressure is real, and outcomes are visible. I’ve spent much of my time operating between strategy and execution, translating direction into action, aligning leaders around difficult trade-offs, and ensuring organisations can perform consistently while they change. I’ve been accountable for large teams and enterprise-level initiatives, often in highly regulated settings where trust, stability, and judgement are as important as speed. My leadership style is deliberate and composed, particularly in moments of escalation. I’m often brought into situations where clarity is needed, tensions are high, and teams need to regain focus and confidence. I care deeply about decision quality, how leaders respond under pressure, and the long-term impact those responses have on people and performance. Alongside my executive role, I contribute selectively to leadership development through writing and invited sessions. My book, A Leader’s Legacy, reflects my thinking on responsibility, self-leadership, and the consequences of how leaders show up, especially when it’s uncomfortable or inconvenient.
