Monitoring the Site Engineer and Contractors for Fibre Optic Network Implementation and Quality Control. Managing the eQAIT Module's supervisory responsibility for PMCS involves conducting routine quality audits and inspections (as and when required). Implementing an inspection programme and managing NBB-FDTs & feeder quality. Verifying the accuracy and quality of the As-built redline that the implementation contractors supplied for billing, as well as the OTDR Traces and Power Meter Testing Signal with respect to GT. Work with the STC site engineer to arrange for the on-site verification Of invoices and to obtain si atures for c0 letion. Checking Of site construction according to drawings & specification, method of trenching as per site condition, placement of main - duct, sub-duct and marking plates. Checking of Cabinet, OSB, ODB, TB and hand-holes such as cable arrangement, tagging, looping and closures. Re-instatement of asphalt, checking installation of fiber cables in sub-duct and installation of marking post. Installation of new cable lines and also performs maintenance on existing cables, including evaluation tests, troubleshooting and repairing old or malfunctioning cables. Cut and splice fiber optic cables, locate problem areas and perform other repairs as needed from cabinet, hand-holes and TB's. Ability to read maps and follow written instructions and schematics. Inspect workplaces regularly for compliance with safety regulations. Conduct safety audits and inspections.
