Provide technical leadership for maintenance strategies, reliability improvements, and asset integrity across Instrumentation, Automation, and F&G systems. Lead the SIS lifecycle during Design, Commissioning, Operations & Maintenance in accordance with IEC 61511, including proof testing improvements, bypass management, and failure investigations. Act as Alarm Management Facilitator and Custodian under ISA 18.2 / EEMUA 191, performing monthly alarm performance reviews, root-cause analysis of alarm floods/chatter, and KPI reporting to improve control room effectiveness. Oversee design, construction, and commissioning of Instrumentation & Automation and Fire & Gas systems. Conducting SIL verification, contributing to HAZOP and LOPA studies. Serve as Technical Authority for Management of Change, ensuring modifications are safe, compliant, and cost-effective, with full maintenance impact assessment Manage OEM and service maintenance contracts for Instrumentation, Automation, and F&G systems (annual value ~USD 5M), including vendor performance management, scope definition, tendering support, and budget planning. Support annual shutdowns and turnarounds: scope definition for Instrumentation, pre-TAR planning, execution supervision, and post-start-up performance reviews. Identifying CAPEX and OPEX need to support project execution and operational improvements. Analyze equipment failure data, identify recurring failure modes, and implement preventive measures to reduce downtime and lifecycle costs. Optimize preventive and predictive maintenance routines using SAP CMMS, enhance maintenance master data, and adjust PM intervals based on reliability and failure analysis. Conduct site audits, performance testing, and condition assessments of instrumentation assets to plan refurbishments, upgrades, and obsolescence management. Contribute to Integrated Production Planning to support safe and efficient production with minimal equipment-related interruptions.

Providing functional leadership and Engineering support with regard to the Automation discipline. Designing and developing new control systems and testing, maintaining and modifying existing systems as per ISA, IEC, IEEE, NFPA, ASME ,ANSI codes and standards. Acceptance of facilities for operation, inspection of installations in factories and in the field, verification of project and as-built documents, completion reports. Identify, investigate, test and validate new innovative technology and work methods for future implementation Arranging development, review of Maintenance items, maintenance plans, and task lists for Instrumentation maintenance. Lead Preliminary Design Review and Critical Design Review prior of Process Control System development by EPC contractors. Troubleshoot complex instrumentation and control system issues in operational facilities including shutdowns troubleshooting. Maintain engineering drawings and Mark-up PFD’s, P&ID’s, ILD’s and data sheets. Develop engineering design scopes and packages. Perform and coordinate engineering studies with regard to existing issues and its remedial actions. Provide expert advice and assistance to outside vendors, manufacturers, and design firms with regard to instrument engineering matters. Providing design assistance during the development of P&ID, Cause and Effect and Control Narrative. Participating in Alarm Management meetings as an Instrument responsible person. Conduct engineering job evaluations for plant modification proposals. Conduct SAT and ISAT for all Process Control Systems. Providing technical support to project management activities, procurement and project controls through all project cycles and answering Technical Queries raised by Contractor when required. Prepare proposals for systems modification to improve equipment reliability and system efficiency within the Management Of Change (MOC) procedure.

PLC programming, Control Logic Modification Maintenance of Distributed Control Systems and Safety Instrumented Systems Designing and developing new control systems and testing, maintaining and modifying existing systems. Developing instrument indices and lists such as instrument index, I/O list, instrument range, and alarm set points. Providing design assistance during the development of P&ID, Cause and Effect and Control Narrative. Correcting Instrument Loop Diagram (ILD), Instrument Segment Diagram (ISD) and Instrument Specification Sheets (ISS). Lead Preliminary Design Review (PDR) and Critical Design Review (CDR) prior to Process Control System development. Providing technical support to project management activities, procurement and project controls through all project cycles and answering Technical Queries raised by Contractor when required. Primarily engage in inspecting complex problems and causes of emergency equipment shutdown. Deploy work schedules throughout the development and execution of preventive and corrective actions.
