* St. Vincent's Refugee Center handles incoming refugees into the Lansing area by aiding them in finding jobs, finding schools to attend, getting them acclimated to United States' laws and culture, English language training, and much more. My duties at this internship included, but not limited to: * Developed 30+ files for incoming refugees to use as reference for integration and for emergencies * Arranged home visits with refugees to assist on professional development and immigration transition * Handled sensitive information and paperwork with respect for individuals involved * Organized $200+ worth of donations, edited mistakes on documents, calculated estimates on Excel, and submitted into system

* Supervised four students from Japan on progress of cultural adjustments and of English courses * Facilitated meet-ups and events to advance students’ English communication skills * Researched local area and campus events to provide students with opportunities to participate in cultural activities

* Partnered with five international teacher assistants from Turkey, China, and South Korea to build stronger relationships and understanding between American and international students * Scheduled meetings with teacher assistants and students to cover weekly learning objectives and upkeep organization’s mission * Oversaw bi-weekly meetings for teacher assistants and students to grow organization’s mission by building cross cultural relationships and communication * Documented 40 weekly progress reports of meetings resulting in strong communication between students and program director

* Stepping Stones is an International NGO which promotes education and English language learning to disadvantage children in China. My duties during the internship included, but not limited to: * Taught English to ~200 children in China * Coordinated with teammates to lead a mentoring group of six volunteers to teach disadvantage children English based on future career opportunities * Managed approximately 10-15 projects received at minimal notice and periodically reported back progress to supervisor * Redesigned and edited over 60 lesson plans for future use of volunteers and maintained files * Led organization at volunteering recruitment event to gain volunteers

* Independently launched product placement and company projects at stores, such as Meijer and CVS, in time sensitive fashion * Executed around 10 projects with minimal instruction * Cooperated with store managers about changes in product placement and sought resolutions when problems arose
