I am a mathematics major at Duke University with a strong foundation in mathematics, statistical analysis and modeling and data science. Through my coursework in classes like applied machine learning, data structures and algorithms, probability, financial markets, and real analysis, I’ve developed an analytical skill set that translates directly to solving problems. My project work includes modeling gene regulation networks with statistical learning methods and implementing data structures and algorithms. I have coursework experience in Python, Java, and libraries like NumPy, PyTorch, and Scikit-Learn. I am seeking opportunities in business development, research and/or statistical modeling, data science, analytics, or quantitative risk where I can be mentored, learn, and gain real world experience.

I’ve worked as an ocean rescue lifeguard every summer (2.5-3 months) for the past 4 years. This job includes daily exercise, crowd control, safe selection of swim zones, knowledge of oceanic structure & currents, and rescues. I work a very busy beach and have accumulated around 50 rescues during my time here, ranging from a single child on a boogie board to several adults at the same time. I also train on the rescue board (a large prone paddle-board) and compete in races/relays in lifeguard tournaments along the Jersey Shore.
