About
I am passionate about creative storytelling in the digital realm and connecting people through sport. While great stories come from game time performances, truly inspirational stories are told off the ice. Storytelling is what makes us human and how we can come to understand new perspectives. Through my jobs over the years I have had the honour of working with a number of great organizations. With my experience in both the public and private sector, I have learned the importance of teamwork, creativity, storytelling, design, and customer service. My areas of interest include digital content, producing, writing, sports and live event production. I have ambitions to work at an international level, becoming a respectable and distinguished producer of marketing media. I hope to be as versatile as possible in the face of constant evolution of the industry. Connect with me here on LinkedIn, or on Twitter @wongagness. production assistant - tiff press junket
junket productions
TIFF isn't only about glamorous red carpets and movie premieres. For the 2015 festival, I was a production assistant for several TIFF press junkets. I acted as a runner by delivering tapes from interview rooms to the control room, and kept time and pace of high profile interviews.

production assistant - amazing race canada
insight production company
I've watched The Amazing Race (U.S. Edition) since season 3. I always thought it'd be cool to be on the show, because it can't be that difficult, right? Well, it's harder than it looks. I participated in a mock race in downtown Toronto for Amazing Race Canada, and tested out potential challenges for timing and to find any possible issues.

student ambassador - tour guide
ryerson university
Did you know there used to be a brewery on Ryerson's campus grounds? Or how some scenes in My Big Fat Greek Wedding were shot on campus? These are some of the many facts that I told prospective students, parents, teachers and counsellors while I conducted walking tours of Ryerson. I also had that privilege of representing my school at major recruitment events such as the Ontario Universities’ Fair, educating visitors on the variety of programs that are offered.

outreach and events specialist
ryerson university
One of the most overlooked services that students pay for with their tuition fees is career services. The Ryerson Career Development and Employment Centre supports all students and alumni in their career development and job search. I was a member of the outreach team in my second year of university. We conducted presentations in front of large and small groups to promote career services, initiatives and events available to students. I also assisted with developing new creative marketing strategies to attract more students to use our career services.

assistant camp director and special events coordinator

My interest in the visual arts led me to working at McKee Fine Arts Camp for the City of Toronto. McKee Fine Arts Camp is a specialty camp that offers camp programs in visual arts, dance, drama and multi-arts for children aged 5-12. The camp has 4 sessions and each session has around 100 campers. I started off in the summer of 2012 as a Camp Specialty Instructor. I was promoted to Assistant Director the next year, and was in charge of planning weekly camp-wide events. I also planned a major special event in conjunction with the camp next door. It was an Alice in Wonderland theme day with a variety of activities, such as a bouncy castle, face painting and special guests.

As a City of Toronto employee I have developed and challenged my skills in creativity, teamwork, staff supervision, administration and customer service.

The time and effort put in by an athlete begins long before the Olympic Games stage. During my time at the Canadian Olympic Committee, I increased my knowledge not only about Olympic sports but the amateur athletes that compete in them as well. I assisted with both written and photo content curation, along with creating and editing content for the olympic.ca website. I also helped with the weekly Olympic Club contest by selecting winners and preparing prizes for shipment.
