I spend most of my time making systems faster, cleaner, and harder to break. At Odoo, I lead a backend engineering team building custom ERP platforms for enterprise clients across the GCC. That means owning everything from system design and code review to production incidents on multi-tenant, multi-currency stacks handling 100+ daily active users. The work is Python-heavy, PostgreSQL-deep, and unforgiving when things go wrong at scale. Some things I've shipped that I'm proud of: - Cut worst-case query times from 12s to under 2s by rearchitecting indexes and rewriting batch processing paths - Built a reusable module architecture that reduced per-project effort by ~70% and made version upgrades significantly less painful - Reduced average incident investigation time by ~40% through internal Python tooling for log aggregation and deployment health checks - Integrated payment providers (Tabby, Stripe), RFID systems, and Shopify via REST APIs with webhook handling and retry logic Outside of Odoo, I co-founded Liwain, an indoor navigation SaaS with a custom SVG map editor and routing engine, and built an RFID-based visitor tracking system for large-scale exhibitions. I also maintain a VSCode extension used by 1,000+ developers globally. I'm AWS certified (Solutions Architect + Cloud Practitioner), hold a UAE Golden Visa, and actively looking for senior/staff backend roles where I can own hard problems at real scale.
