Developing an automated root cause analysis system for quality events in hard drive manufacturing, leveraging supervised and unsupervised machine learning for anomaly and defect detection, causal AI to uncover process–measurement relationships, and agentic AI to empower users with interactive, guided analysis tools that complement automated insights. Developed and deployed deep learning computer vision models for object detection and classification, automating the inspection of millions of microscope images for quality control in hard drive manufacturing. Trained and enabled colleagues across the organization to develop and deploy deep learning computer vision models using LandingAI software by leading internal training, providing mentorship, and authoring best-practice documentation.

Developed advanced analyses and software to extract scientific measurements from large, high-dimensional particle physics data sets using statistical modeling, mathematical modeling, Monte Carlo physics simulations, and error analysis. Led a team leveraging distributed computing to efficiently process and simulate petabyte-scale data sets. Communicated complex scientific results to both technical and non-technical audiences through peer-reviewed publications, articles, conference talks, and public presentations. Mentored students in research, fostering skill development and scientific rigor.
