Brought Haribo's sweetness to China's digital marketplace. Dove deep into TaoBao data, built revenue models from focus groups, and navigated the complex Chinese eCommerce landscape. Best lessons are learned in difficult markets. Converting the lessons to build next generation AI/ML driven distributed commerce platform. Also applied lessons for strategy consulting in Asia for AI/ML, online journey and digital transformation of brands and companies.

Helped businesses embrace early machine learning through intelligent commerce platform called "Komerco". Developed system that learned from customer behavior-dynamic pricing, sentiment analysis, natural language interfaces. Grateful for partnerships with Google, Amazon, Azure, incubation at NUS BLOCK 71 and being selected as innovative AI company for Taiwan's ITRI's immersion program and showcase events in Taipei.

Collaborated on developing a comprehensive strategy for navigating China's rapidly evolving digital landscape, drawing insights from growth trends, regulatory frameworks, and shifting consumer behaviors. Contributed to the online journey of international brands like Sephora, Watson's, BestSeller, Li-Ning, Puma, Metro and others as they adapted to China's unique e-commerce ecosystem. Learned the best strategies put people first — built on human connection and respect for culture, with technology as an enabler.

Helped run the engine behind one of China's largest eCommerce operations with over 20 million online members while saving 3 million Euros annually. Built teams, managed budgets, integrated systems. Learned that at scale, every decision becomes a story.

Connected thousands of users across Asia Pacific with systems that actually worked. Launched CRM across five countries, learning that good technology transcends borders while effective leadership is rooted in respect for cultures.

Managed IT infrastructure across 13 countries while leading Oracle 9i DBA teams in performance tuning. Implemented EDI for supply chain management, reducing costs and shortening payment cycles. Deployed self hosted large scale email, collaboration suite and VOIP systems between offices with substantial cost reductions.

Led the complete design, development, and deployment of web-based Supply Chain Management software solutions. Bridged the gap between business needs and technology capabilities in the early days of enterprise web applications.

Launched Linux/BSD-based server appliances including virtual servers and firewalls when virtualization was in fancy and required use of early chroot and jails. Collaborated on launching an internet travel site with real-time airline ticket booking - pioneering online travel booking.

Launched Chemquick.com - one of the first online chemical exchanges - in 1997 using C and PostgreSQL on Linux/BSD when 'eCommerce' was still a new word. Built the foundation for B2B online marketplaces in the early days of the internet.

During the early years of the internet, I worked on several browser-based applications using CGI (cgic, giflib) across Unix, Windows, and Mac platforms. These applications were deployed on NCSA HTTPd and accessed through Mosaic and Lynx browsers, later evolving to support Netscape Navigator as web technologies matured. During this time, I also worked extensively with Linux, open-source tools, BSD Unix, Solaris, Novell NetWare, IRIX, HP-UX, Digital Unix, Windows and Mac OS gaining valuable experience across a wide range of operating systems and environments. In collaboration with three fellow students, I contributed to the development of a real-time internet-based chat platform. As a team, we designed a custom chat protocol over TCP and built a system that included a graphical interface using Java applets, a terminal interface with curses, and a server written in C capable of supporting concurrent multi-user interactions. It was a rewarding opportunity to explore emerging technologies and contribute to the rapidly evolving landscape of online communication.
