Acting as group leader /senior scientist in department of Inflammation and autoimmune disease. Major duty is study design and project management of inflammation and respiratory disease study cases (e.g. asthma, COPD, ALI and lung fibrosis)

Have been working on the respiratory and inflammatory diseases; generally focused on the respiratory physiology; lung function, bronchial &vascular functions and epithelial / endothelial barrier functions (e.g. asthma, COPD, ALI and lung fibrosis).

Participated the ASMase (Acid sphingomyelinase) study program from Bayer AG and university Humboldt Berlin. Generally in charge of the Bisphosphonates candidate study, study model establishment and outcome evaluation in cases of the respiratory disease (e.g. ARDS, COPD, cystic fibrosis).

Worked on the isolated perfused rat/mouse lung and related methodology. Established the pressure-consistence isolated perfused rat/mouse lung method, the epi/endothelial cell membrane isolation from the intact rat lung and the real-time ion measurement on intact rat/mouse lung capillary. Intensively worked on the molecular mechanism and the essential role that sphingolipids play in respiratory disease cases by regulating the pulmonary vascular permeability.
