1. Lead and enhance regular monitoring project regarding T&E and promotional activities, like post document review and identify potential risks/new relevant local regulations; take appropriate remediation and disciplinary actions as required; Collaborate with different business sector in Merck China to design and implement respective monitoring programs based on agreed timeline; 2. Lead and support any investigation by following the global process and prioritise the matter; conduct the assigned tasks with high quality; 3. Lead quarterly or ad hoc compliance committee meeting and contribute to compliance projects meeting, acc. to the global framework; 4. Provide efficient advice to the business/group functions to support their strategy and objectives; contribute to meetings with senior management and other key stakeholders for added-value business support; 5. Perform compliance training according to global plan and local needs by defining target groups for all F2F/virtual Compliance trainings and appropriately documenting the records; 6. Collaborate with the business/group functions to make them accountable for tasks in standard areas; support senior management to be proactive in ensuring ethical behaviour and accountability for compliance topics; further enhance Compliance Ambassador concept; 7. Participate in Global Projects as needed and deliver key project milestones with high-quality and in time and with appropriate roll-out and communication approach; 8. Ensure adherence to approved budget, contribute to zero-based budget and on top saving targets, assess additional savings and efficiency potential and drive execution

Jeff Yang is a Manager with KPMG Forensic in Beijing, China. Starting from 2011, Jeff has years of experience in forensic accounting and audit, specializing in FCPA/anti-bribery and corruption reviews, fraud and misconduct investigations, and compliance risk assessments. Jeff has participated in fraud & misconduct investigations for multi-national corporations across a wide range of industries; in particular, health/pharmaceuticals, manufacturing and media sectors. Jeff has been involved in a variety of FCPA/anti-bribery proactive and reactive service engagements for multinational companies, including employee misconduct investigations, anti-bribery and corruption investigations, asset misappropriation investigations, regulatory compliance review and fraud risk assessments. Jeff has assisted a US listed global healthcare company in conducting a series of sensitive issue investigations including whistle blower allegations and internal escalations relating to review of transactions involving clinical operations/studies, travel agencies and other third-party intermediaries, fraudulent employee expenses, secondary sales data manipulations, contract fraud, embezzlement, and other potential FCPA violations at its China pharmaceutical operations. Jeff has assisted a global healthcare company to conduct transaction review into its operations in china with a focus on expense reimbursement activities including analyzing and selecting sample transactions on a risk-based criteria, identifying potential violations of company policies, FCPA and/or Chinese Anti-Bribery Corruption related laws and regulations, conducting site visit to certain questionable merchants and interviews of the identified employees, as well as providing recommendations to mitigate compliance risk.
