Investigated ways to incorporate mechanistic modeling, computational statistics, and advanced machine learning techniques to better understand scale-up relationships in biologics manufacturing. Work expected to lead to a patent, and will be the subject of Master's thesis with expected publication date in 2020.

Co-founded a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing efficiency and sustainability to the realm of international medical equipment donations by shipping capital overseas (raised from the sales of donated medical equipment) as opposed to the equipment itself. MEDScheme received support from the Campus Y CUBE Social Innovation Incubator at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. MEDScheme won $1000 in the 2013 Carolina Challenge, an entrepreneurship/business pitch competition run through the Kenan-Flagler Business School, $1000 from the Social Innovation Idea Competition, and was selected to present at the Emerging Company Showcase put on by UNC Kickstart.

Selected as one of ten recipients of a $3,200 scholarship to complete the University Business Essentials online business education certificate program and then spent the next year helping the program advertise and recruit on campus.

Worked as an EMT on an ambulance at least 48 hours per month attending to patient care, documentation, and driving the ambulance. Participated in continuing education courses in a variety of subjects related to emergency medicine with the squad once a month. Participated in specialty technical training courses in the areas of high angle rescue, confined space rescue, and swift water rescue as a member of the Technical Rescue Team.

Gave tours of campus, sat on panels to answer questions from students and parents and offer personal anecdotes and advice, participate in phone-banking, and assisted with various Admissions Office recruitment events in order to help people understand why I love Carolina!

Working toward an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science as part of a competitive dual-degree program with fellowship support from partner companies in industry. Focusing on the intersections between health and technology. Currently working on a new medical device for respiratory monitoring in the pediatric ICU in addition to coursework.

Promoted to the post-MBA position of Consultant at 24 months of tenure. Responsibilities are similar, but expectations, scope, and responsibility for client and project management are greater. Focus on healthcare, project management, growth strategy, corporate ventures, and executing internal transformations.

Worked with a small entrepreneurial group within the company to develop a revolutionary medical device. Worked independently on a section of the project involving the design, development, testing, and presentation of an electron gun driver for use in testing. Presented to the team at weekly design meetings and weighed in on questions concerning design of the overall device. This work included control systems, LabView programming, component research and selection, circuit design, construction, and testing on breadboards and PCBs, collaboration with the machine shop, high-voltage training and collaboration while working with 35 kV, and more.

Conducted research on the access and use of computers in secondary schools in the district. Interviewed parents, teachers, students, and community leaders in each school, and used the information gathered to write individualized reports for each school detailing the attitudes of each stakeholder group and recommendations for the school. Status summaries of every school involved in the study were also distributed with each report in order to facilitate connections between schools to share best practices and form new partnerships. Initiated interviews with clients of WOMEDA's free legal aid clinic in order to document and better understand the impact of WOMEDA's work in the community. Created a discussion group for pre-teenage and teenage girls to talk about public health issues and provide a safe space to learn, have fun, and form new friendships.

Assisted in the development of a water quality project investigating endocrine-active substances in wastewater irrigation. Prepared solutions and performed various chemical analyses.

In preparation for the prestigious Fulbright Korea program, participated in intensive Korean language program through Korea University. Classes were conducted entirely in Korean by two alternating professors, and involved intensive study of all four aspects of language education: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Coursework totaled 120 hours (2 semesters) in 6 weeks. Recognized at graduation ceremony for excellent performance during the course and honored with the Top Student Award for the Beginner A class.

Completed coursework in Human Genetics, Fundamentals of Applied Biology in Genetics, Geobotany, and Spanish. All courses were taught and completed in Spanish."]
