Dr. Zurainah Musa

Datuk Seri Hajjah Dr. Zurainah Musa is a former senator in the Upper House (Dewan Negara) of the Malaysian Parliament. She was also a member of the Economic Action Council chaired by the Prime Minister which is the highest economic policy council of the Malaysian Government. She is currently a Director at UZMA Bhd, a publicly listed company in the oil and gas sector and part of the Advisory Council for MAHSA University (Haniffa Business School). She was previously an Executive Director of Berjaya Corporation Berhad and had held various directorships on various subsidiaries of the Berjaya Group. Moreover, she was the head of Berjaya Corporation’s Strategic Relations Department. Her responsibilities included: • Exploring new business opportunities. • Negotiating and strategizing new business ventures. • Troubleshooting issues for the Group. • Establishing and maintaining relationships with various Government and Corporate entities to ensure the smooth running of the Group’s operations. Furthermore, she had previously served as a director for various government and government-linked entities such as the Lembaga Penduduk Dan Pembangunan Keluarga Negara [from September 2020 to August 2022], Bousted Holdings Berhad [from August 2020 to January 2023] and the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority [from September 2013 to July 2018]. She is also active in various NGOs as listed below. She started working in 1983 and was working in senior capacities for several organizations, both locally and internationally. She has more than 25 years of experience in the field of Human Resource Management and Development and is well-skilled in the art of Networking, Negotiations and Human Relationship Management. Her experience includes inter-alia, designing, managing, organizing and conducting training programs and courses as well as providing consulting services relating to the various aspects of human resource development and management for organizations in Malaysia, Australia, the United States of America, Indonesia and the Middle East.
