Partnerships Consultants are provincial experts on Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Management Systems, responsible for the development, maintenance, delivery and quality of the Partnerships in Injury Reduction Program. As a Partnerships Consultant, I help in the development and maintenance of the provincial Partnerships Standards, oversee the issuance of Certificates of Recognition (COR's), promote the COR program to employers and industry, and conduct the Employer Review process.

The Workplace Health and Safety Team at the Public Service Commission (PSC) is responsible for the creation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the Government of Alberta (GoA) Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Program; the coordination and the creation and GoA OHS training course material and OHS course delivery; monitoring and maintaining the Occupational Health Tracking system for GoA employees; and is a Certifying Partner for GoA. As a Workplace Health and Safety Consultant, I provided expert advice on health and safety program implementation and interpretation of OHS legislation and GoA OHS Program standards to government departments and ministry health and safety contacts. As the Program Manager of the Partnerships Program, I acted as one of the thirteen Certifying Partners in Alberta and was responsible for managing all of the Certificates of Recognition (CoR's) for the GoA. Managing the Partnerships Program for GoA included: the training and management of all GoA peer auditors, the development and maintenance of the PSC Partnerships standards, quality assurance reviews of all GoA qualification, baseline, maintenance and certification audits, and participation on multiple Partnerships in Injury Reduction standards sub-committees.

Provided support to the Lead Investigation Team with Alberta Occupational Health and Safety. I was mainly responsible for the creation of the evidence packages that were submitted for prosecution decisions when an employer had a serious incident or fatality.
