ECHO-Erinvale Care and Help Organization - NPO January 2009 – December 2011 (3 years)|Erinvale golf Estate Zolia was part of our life Skills programme presenting to university students, who are ECHO students. Her NLP approach was greatly welcomed and appreciated and the critical thinking skills together with the De Bono Hats theory was well used by the students and ECHO staff. She has a very unique way of putting across what seems to be complicated skills in such a way that the students are able to grasp and use their acquired skills instantaneously. She also coached a number of students on an individual basis.

I was elected to represent the community of Koelenhof as their Ward Councillor on the Stellenbosch Ward Representative Forum. Duties included liaising with the Stellenbosch Municipality and the political parties to formulate and develop Integrated Development Plans (IDP) and services for the community in our ward. Our forum was part of the greater Stellenbosch Ward Rep. Forum. We reviewed accounts, developed budgets, and initiated wider participation of the residents of the area. The process also involved a substantial amount of conflict resolution given the opposing views held by different members at meetings.

I conceptually designed and produced nursery furniture that had expanded into a full suite of bedroom furniture after it had been used as a baby's cot. I branded and developed the "ROOM in a BOX" concept. The brand identification was so successful it eventually became a generic description for any nursery furniture with multiple uses. It was the only nursery furniture at the time to have obtained a Safety Standard Certificate from Britain and was also exhibited at Harrods in London.

Rob Roy Hotel was a 40 Bedroom conference hotel which catered for outside functions of up to 600 people as well. (It has since been converted into a retirement establishment.) Keeping guests happy and welcome was the hallmark of our business. In a hotel your reputation is only as good as the customers immediate experience. Every operation has to run efficiently, effectively, and outstandingly 24/7/365. Planning, training, interpersonal & organisational skills and quality control are key to providing maximum efficiency. Cuisine has to be exceptional. Functions ranged from society weddings to large mining conferences and everything in-between. Being a hotelier requires resilience, dedication,patience, ambition, vision, and the ability to deliver magic on time, every time.

Creating and delivering workshops on Critical Thinking to young adults. I also coach some of the students individually over the year long course.

Integrated Eye Movement Technique is a new technique founded by Andrew T Austin. "Change in the Blink of an Eye" I use it to change long held habits that do not serve the clients well.
