Plan and schedule the procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, and other supplies to support production requirements while minimizing inventory costs and ensuring on-time delivery. Collaborate with suppliers to manage purchase orders, resolve any issues related to quality, pricing, delivery, or lead time, and maintain a good relationship with key suppliers. Monitor inventory levels, demand patterns, and lead times to optimize inventory levels, prevent stockouts, and minimize waste and obsolescence. Work closely with cross-functional teams including production, logistics, quality, and sales to ensure that materials are available in a timely manner to meet production schedules and customer demand. Analyze data and prepare reports to identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities for process improvement. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the ERP system and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

A horticulture nursery growing to order capsicum, chillies, tomato, eggplant, pumpkin, watermelon, and herb seedlings for farmers. Since 2019, the company has collaborated with Top Shelf International to cultivate agave seedlings, which are first commercial growth in Australia. Agave will be used in the production of tequila, sugar, biofuel, and various health products. The company now has a greenhouse and has commenced deflasking tissue culture agaves and growing tissue culture agaves. The focus of the role is to ensure that the company produces healthy and strong plants for its customers. This includes: Controlling diseases and maintaining optimal plant nutrition. Coordinating daily the tasks of a Growing Team of up to 20 to maintain high levels of efficiency, professionalism and productivity and ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations. Inspecting plants to determine their nutritional requirements and identify symptoms of disease and insect damage. Includes consulting with the company’s Agronomist to determine the most appropriate chemicals and dosages and separating seedlings or discarding seedling in cases of severe bacterial infections. Undertaking research into the most effective way of growing healthier Agave seedlings in Australia, accelerating growth rates and increasing healthier and faster and improving the germination rates.

The purpose of the project was to conduct field trials to determine the efficacy of two new biological pesticides and four existing pesticides against the Fall Armyworm that infects sweetcorn, maize, sorghum, and other crops. This involved:  Examining Fall Amyworm eggs and larvae at the vegetative and tasselling stages to determine the most effective method and time to control this pest, assess the extent of the damage caused and the effectiveness of the different chemicals. Conducted harvest yield assessments to determine whether treated plants would meet corn market yield requirements.

Collected the Brassica tissues with different techniques, culturing and subculturing the Rhizoctonia Solani. Demonstrated the ability to adopt new technology and practices by organising and analysing data within Genstar software. • Completed the In Vitro Assessment of Suppression of Rhizoctonia Solani project within expected deadlines. • Incubated the brassica crops tissues with Rhizoctonia Solani. • Observed the project experiment and recorded the data, highlighting and presenting the results and findings.
