Co-Founded E8 from inception through two rounds of fund raising from tier 1 VC’s, building a development team, being the 1st global awarded product in the block storage of NVMe over fabric market with enterprise customers leveraging E8 in production with PB’s of Flash and eventually successful acquisition by the AWS the largest cloud provider. Identified customer’s needs and came up with the technical solutions to customer requirements through customization. Further more i establish the product functional requirements (security, reliability, maintainability, usability, etc.) at the solution level. As being the 1st product in the world i needed to invent a new approach of system design in the areas of: SW features, SSD enclosures, SSD functionality, power, thermal and etc. I Lead the business development and partner's relations through technical discussion, business discussions and terms negotiation for joint customer solutions and products.

Being the 1st to join a new startup that introduce a scale out file system using an all flash NVMe SSD’s. In my role i was leading and defining all system architecture and specification for the storage system. Including participate in the planning, definition, and high-level design of the business problem while exploring alternative solutions. The exploration include dive deep on the industry performance bottleneck of NVMe SSD's while analyzing the best TCO of the company solution. Foster and promote quality processes throughout all stages of system development.

Managing a diverse team of 10 System engineers in the area of: System design, BI & Data mining, Quality, Mechanic, Thermal, Power and Storage devices: SSD's , HDD's. Leading IBM data mining team for monitoring and building the mechanics to deliver 7'9s of product quality. Working with IBM High-End Enterprise customers and product teams for defining the customers requirements, following that architect the system including the SW and HW specification for the IBM Storage system.

Owning all hardware activities of the company, including FPGA & Board design. Hiring and technical leading a team of six HW - FPGA and SI engineers including 4 outsourcing sub-contractors. Hands on on Xilinx Virtex devices with deep knowledge of FPGA architecture & FPGA flow optimization. including SI simulation of High-Speed boards

Leading the architecture and implementation of the company ASIC. The chip included both a DSP algorithm and control sub-modules as the 1st Implementation target device was Xilinx FPGA's. Duties included development & integration with DSP, Software & Lab teams.

Defining and designing high speed board design for Intel X86 latest greatest multicore CPU's including complex FPGA to simulate PCIe buses and more with unique features on corner cases of error injections . Wide use of lab equipment such as: Scope, Logic Analyzer and traffic generator. Acquiring deep knowledge of x86 CPU architecture, CPU buses, PCIe & platform devices.
