As a business development intern at Fabtech, a turnkey pharmaceutical facility solutions company, I’ve focused on expanding our presence across Africa and the Middle East. Project: Platelet Activation and Thrombus Formation Analysis -Gained expertise in investigating platelet activation using flow cytometry and assessing thrombus formation under various conditions via the Total Thrombus Formation Analysis System (T-TAS). - Developed skills in experimental design, data analysis, and interpreting platelet activation markers (CD62P and PAC-1). - Utilized Sysmex XP-300 for accurate platelet and blood sample analysis, ensuring sample integrity and health parameters. - Conducted inhibitor testing (AKB-9778) and positive control validation (aspirin) for anticoagulant effects. - Employed fluorescence controls and gating strategies to ensure reliable flow cytometry data. - Successfully demonstrated the impact of AKB-9778 on inhibiting thrombus formation, highlighting its potential as an anti-platelet agent.
