About
Hello, My name is Jeffrey Li and I graduated from University of California, Irvine. I initially got accepted as a Math major but worked my way up to change it to Aerospace Engineering. I chose aerospace because the industry provides opportunities for technological progress, new scientific discoveries, and shapes the future of transportation and communication. I eventually decided to challenge myself by double majoring in Mechanical Engineering with two specializations, Energy Systems and Environmental Engineering and Design of Mechanical Systems. I was a part of UCI’s Formula SAE aerodynamics body team designing various components and utilizing CFD to simulate the car’s downforce and drag. I was fortunate enough to be a part of the aerospace department's Flapping Wing Micro Air Vehicle research team, more specifically in their mechanisms comparison unit, during my last year where I got to learn the process of research and design, searching for ways we can achieve the aerial capabilities of flying animals. Through this research team, I was able to cultivate my skills in a few engineering softwares such as Solidworks and LabView. In the future, I plan on pursuing my graduate education in the research field of aerospace engineering.
