Risk Management: • Proficient in assessing pricing exposures inherent in physical trading, ensuring comprehensive understanding of market dynamics. • Skilled in navigating and executing derivative products mandated for trading, implementing hedging strategies to mitigate market risks. Risk Taking: • Develop and implement a disciplined approach to generating trading ideas and selecting optimal trades. • Managed my own trading book with a 50k VaR allocation for financial trading. Physical Trading: • Possess in-depth knowledge of the economic factors influencing physical trades and proficient in calculating associated Profit and Loss (PnL) metrics. • Understand the geographical arbitrage opportunities and nuances of delivery/customers in each geography. •Understand the (potential) interaction of each of the global exchanges in the activity of the trading business.

• Generated risk reports (daily, weekly and monthly) including P&L and Exposure/Position using the implemented risk system. Ad-hoc risk analysis under different market conditions to provide optimization suggestions. • Managed the accuracy of trade and reporting data in CTRM and risk system. Reviewed and analyzed trading result, worked with traders to evaluate unrealized P&L with proper benchmark.

Understood traders’ strategies in retaining/optimizing value through mismatches and incorporated terms to protect out interest.

Fundamental and technical analysis of the value chain.

• Built and maintained client relationship, provided all information needed in decision-making process such as view of short/long-term fundamentals, factors affecting markets, recent fixtures and counterparty performance etc. • Facilitated teamwork by efficiently sharing the market information and exploring potential candidates to catch those lead-to-deal opportunities. • Handled the post-fixture work of Supramax & Panamax vessels in global operation team, cooperated with colleagues through frequent communication to provide clients with seamless and round-the-clock services.

• Acquired the knowledge of dry bulk market fundamentals including vessel types, trading routes, cargo flows, main players and their working styles. • Coordinated the daily operations of about 20 ships by monitoring vessel itinerary, negotiating with interested parties, preparing related documents and seeking solutions when disputes happened. Through continuous communication, I could foresee the forthcoming, took precautions to avoid urgent problems.
