Zhi Yang, PhD, is the CEO and co-founder of Fasikl, a pioneering neuro-AI company dedicated to developing advanced, AI-powered neural technologies. A world-renowned expert in neural engineering and bioelectronics, Dr. Yang brings over 15 years of research and leadership experience spanning both academia and industry. His groundbreaking work has laid the foundation for AI-driven therapeutics, including innovations in single-fascicle resolution neural recordings, recording during therapeutic stimulation, and the seamless integration of recording, processing, and stimulation technologies. Dr. Yang earned his doctorate in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Santa Cruz. He began his academic career as a faculty member at the National University of Singapore in 2010, then joined the University of Minnesota in 2015, where he was granted tenure in 2019. Since co-founding Fasikl in 2020, Dr. Yang has led the company’s overall direction, driving its business strategy, technological innovation, and long-term vision.
