Sino-American Pharmaceutical Professionals Association - Greater Philadelphia (SAPA-GP) is a professional organization founded in 2002. Over past decades, SAPA-GP has established a broad member base and become the premier organization in the region for bridging the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries of China and the US. - Oversee all operations and business activities, develop high quality business strategies and plans ensuring their alignment with short-term and long-term company objective - Lead fund-raising activities and make high-quality investing decisions to advance the business - Communicate, on behalf of the company, with shareholders, government entities, and the public - Attend board and shareholder meetings. Build trust relations with key partners and stakeholders and act as a point of contact for important shareholders - Oversee employment and foster a positive and productive company culture - Enforce adherence to legal guidelines and in-house policies to maintain the company’s legality and business ethics - Maintain a deep knowledge of the industry and markets of the company

- Oversee strategy and execution of preclinical research and development - Enable creative, timely and compliant regulatory submissions of novel vaccines worldwide - Ensure high caliber of internal staff and establish an effective network of outside partners and collaborators - Initiate and manage relationships with third parties, KOLs and academic partners core to the company’s R&D - Maintain accountability of management and financial aspects of discovery and preclinical development - Direct the writing and ensure quality of preclinical study reports, preclinical sections for relevant submissions, position papers on safety, pharmacology and mode of action to support product development - Act as the spokesperson on corporate research and development

- Global biology program leader on projects focused on Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative diseases - Search and evaluate drug discovery partnering opportunities in Neuroscience. Create and direct externalized drug discovery pipeline through partnering with internal an external groups, such as biotech, academic groups and CROs, and progress toward to proof-of-concept studies. - Serve as a core member of GSK biology council which drives strategy and improvement, develops and energizes talent across disciplines

- Served as the biology lead for a program on Parkinson’s and Alzheimer's diseases. Review and identify scientific priorities and set up process for implementing decision-making strategies and directing projects towards Pre-Clinical Candidate approval and further clinical testing. Ensure a high-performing team through defining and structuring team members' roles, keeping a transparent decision-making process, focusing on shared goals and outcomes, providing clear and constant feedback, encouraging innovation and risk-taking and learning through successes and mistakes. - Served as the biology lead for a neuroinflammatory project responsible for target validation, mechanism of action studies, uHTS assay development and lead discovery. - Served as the biology core team member for two neuroscience clinical projects, responsible for mechanism of action studies, clinical biomarker discovery and optimization, safety de-risking assay development and differentiation studies.

- Oversee all in vitro pharmacology efforts for multiple internal projects. Develop and implement high quality uHTS hit finding and hit follow up plan, establish high-through-put biochemistry and cell-based assays to support Chemistry SAR, design and implement studies to interrogate mechanism of action for targets and molecules. Develop and implement appropriate analysis methods and tools to monitor the quality of screening results. - Initiate and implement in vitro primary and secondary assays externalization. Guide and monitor external teams on their study design, execution, data analysis and results interpretation. Ensure the assay quality and data turnaround time at CROs. Streamline process and improve efficiency to increase assay quality, quantity, depth and impact.

- Served as the biomarker lead for multiple biologics and small molecule Neuroscience programs, responsible for biomarker plan design, drafting and presentation. Oversaw novel biomarker identification, optimization and validation, and inter-departmental communication and liaisons. - Liaised closely with translational medicine group and clinical development lab to receive inputs on the biomarker plan; develop, validate and transfer novel clinical biomarker assays.

- Served as the in vivo pharmacology lead for several discovery programs to review and identify scientific priorities and to set up process for implementing decision-making strategies and directing projects towards Pre-Clinical Candidate approval and further clinical testings. Responsible for in vivo animal model and assay development, PK/PD screening and simulation, proof of concept studies to bridge pre-clinical studies to guide clinical experiments
