Distinguished Engineer and General Manager
Leading the BU/Product Group of the Alibaba Tech infra and Reliability Engineering (TRE). TRE consists several core function units and product efforts of Alibaba Group: the 7x24 global operation center, the resource SRE & optimal fleet program, application framework, core sys infra, AI infra, dev infra and cluster management.

Principal Engineer / Senior Director
Since 2021, Principal Engineer / Senior director of Cluster management & Dev Infra Since 01/2019, Alibaba Cloud, Container platform, Principal Engineer / Senior director of Cluster management. Chief architect of Alibaba scheduling / cluster management system. Leading the optimal fleet program at Alibaba.

TL/ Manager, Staff Software Engineer
Mountain View, California
Tech lead / Manager: Cluster management. Resource management. Leading the team that is responsible for the products that manages cluster resources for high resource utilization using resource SLO differentiation and autoscaling (Flex for Borg, automatic provisioning / scaling of shared service resources).

Assistant Research Engineer
*Manager: Robert E. Parsons Traffic and Transit Lab, California PATH, UC Berkeley * Project Manager: Advanced Traffic Signal Control Algorithms, FHWA exploratory advanced research program. Field experiment of intelligent signal operation and driver advisory based on vehicle to intersection and intersection to vehicle communication; Lead Developer: Networked Traveler. I've been taking the lead on development of "Networked Traveler" project, aka "Path2go" application, one of the first integrated real-time multi-modal traveler information application, targeted at San Francisco Bay area. website: www.networkedtraveler.org (100k+ C++/Java code) Project was named on the finalists of the ITS America's Best ITS award 2009. Experimental features include probabilistic data association method to match bus GPS with users to provide context-aware information for travelers; multimodal trip planning using real-time data; Research areas: *Signal and data processing (Probabilistic modeling) with applications to Intelligent transportation systems: Intersection collision avoidance. * Sensor data fusion for Intellidrive, Intelligent passenger information system. * Context-aware information: Modeling and enabling algorithms. I also proposed the probabilistic framework for dynamic all-red extension system, a collision avoidance concept based on the collaboration (communication) between vehicles and the infrastructure (traffic signal controller) to address one of the biggest safety issue at signalized intersection: collisions caused by red light running.

Assistant Professor
Research Interests: Statistical Signal Processing: Statistical properties of discrete-time noise with applications to performance analysis of nonlinear estimators and wireless channel capacity analysis. Statistical array processing with applications to jam suppression in array antenna design for wireless communications. Data processing and fusion for Intelligent transportation systems. I have developed several widely adopted methods for optimizing the design of radar waveforms and their sidelobe suppression. Design and implemented digital signal processing system with multiple DSP and ASIC FFT chips in signal program multiple data architecture (SPMD). Data throughput range up to 20 million words per seconds with O(NM) (M>1000) calculations Research Projects: "Signal processing for smart antenna for wireless communication (TDMA - SDMA, anti-jamming)" PI of project "Signal processing algorithm and implementation for 100nm Photolithographer auto-alignment". The high-end photolithographer products based on this technology have been commercialized by SMEE and deployed at IC plants in China. *Teaching: "Microprocessor Architecture and Design" for DEE students 2005-2007. Got the highest top 5% evaluation score among all courses in the University in year 2005 .
Education

Eletronic Engineering
Research Assistant: Algorithms for Moving target imaging by SAR/ISAR, supported by NSFC Research Assistant (RA): Real-time signal processing system (a synchronous dataflow driven multi-DSP system). system architecture and implementation of the pulse compression circuit *Best paper of the session award International Conference on Signal Processing (ICSP) 2002: Radar signal processing
