Achieved massive throughput for wallet and iGaming platform with consistency guarantee and minimal latency via a globally scaled system.

Working in FinTech domain, I transformed a fragile legacy system with over 20 years of undocumented domain knowledge built from outdated technologies and on-premises infrastructure, into a modern robust system that enables effective delivery with rich data insights. 1. Delivered Liberty’s online loan management platform (Liberty IQ) with market leading customer experience, enabling brokers to submit, track and manage the whole life cycle of mortgage / motor loans online 2. Built a cross-functional autonomic team that is responsible for the full life cycle of Liberty IQ product from UX ideation, development to measurement and support. 3. Transformed Liberty’s technology stack from out-of-date monolithic desktop technology to micro-service based event driven architecture with container backed infrastructure and CI/CD capability, led to fast iteration and innovation, which ultimately increases Liberty’s competitive advantage. 4. Set up on-premises micro-service platform with Azure Service Fabric for .NET applications and Kubernetes for non .NET applications. 5. Introduced health monitoring, application telemetry and data analytics framework with Elasticsearch / Kibana / fluentd stack and big data technologies (HDFS/HIVE/SPARK).

Working in #1 online job board in Australia, my job was to build cloud-based architecture for its core platform to scale and iterate through solutions quickly. 1.Led a team of 4 developers and 2 QAs through solution design, implementation, testing and deployment 2. Successfully delivered a few key initiatives including talent search, event tracking and analytics platform, search relevance usability testing framework, structured data management platform, etc. 3.Transformed the on-premise monolithic architecture to cloud based microservices 4. Established continuous integration and continuous deployment pipeline 5.Continuous improvement and product / process innovation by introducing latest technologies and challenging the status quo. 5.Built a cloud-minded, cross-functional team by coaching, mentoring and lead by example.

SilverbackMDM is a startup in mobile device management & security space. My job was to lead the development team to deliver the MDM platform. 1. Managed a cross functional team of 3 people to deliver Silverback solution 2. Transformed development process in SilverbackMDM from waterfall to agile (scrum based). 3. Migrated Silversync file sync engine into event driven architecture. 4. Established continuous integration and test automation for Silverback solution.

Picalate is a Dropbox-like image synchronization system on Windows and Mac OS. It allows storing image on the cloud and synchronizing with multiple clients. It also allows sharing pictures on Facebook. Responsibilities: 1. Designing the overall architecture and Restful API specification of the system 2. Designing and developing core functionalities including UI design, server–client communication, image sampling and conflict management. 3. Implementing the client both on Windows (C# WinForm) and Mac OS (Cocoa / MonoMac).

Carsales is Australian No. 1 consumer website in automotive classifieds. The extremely high volume of traffic and large number of systems/services forms unique challenge in software development in Carsales network. Responsibilities: 1. Estimating, designing and code reviewing C# code following SOLID principle 2. API development with WCF, MVC WebAPI, MSSQL and Mongo DB. 3. Front end coding using MVC and HTML5 / CSS 3 / jQuery / knockout.js 4. Writing unit test and BDD integration test using NUnit / Rhinomocks / Specflow. Achievements: 1. Led the transformation of Carsales membership from ASP.NET Webform to MVC 4 2. Designed and developed a number of membership APIs including member profile, saved searches and saved items 3. Involved in a number of high profile projects including BMW Ignition Finance, LiveTrade and BuyAssist as a leading developer. 4.
