Analyze management needs regarding use of integrated data processing equipment or operations and processes. Test and debug operating system software. Make economic evaluations of proposed and existing automatic data processing and machine applications. Design and implements integrated hardware and software computer and information systems to meet organizational requirements. Participates in budget planning, implementation, and monitoring for purchase and maintenance of hardware and software. Record and maintain hardware and software inventories, site and/or server licensing, and user access and security. Maintain a broad knowledge of state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems. Perform problem resolution and provide on-call support for computer/network systems.

Responsible for answering technical support questions and providing clients with technical guidance on the use of computer technology in dental practices. As a Technical Support Representative, one also applies a general working knowledge of computer software, hardware and troubleshooting skills to resolve a substantial number of client problems independently. Researching processing problems with the in-house processing system, external clearinghouses, insurance payers, and outside business associates is done daily. Troubleshoot data communication issues (dial-up and Internet), software, operating system, local area network, and hardware-related issues. Utilize product knowledge to offer software enhancement suggestions via the Software Change Request (SCR) process. Beta tests new real-time services connections.
