Managed ICT deployments from design to installation & testing (turnkey delivery)

 Working alongside Project Manager (COM) in controlling the deployment and Testing operations on multiple sites within Doha metro network.  Deployment control with site audits, quality control surveys and snags clearance as well as in-charge of Quality Assurance in Security system network deployment.  Produced expert guidelines on network infrastructure deployment for quality installation according to standards defined as per standard bodies like FOA, FTTH Council Europe, SCTE (USA/UK), BICSI, TIA/EIA and NEC.  Provided expert coordination, design reviews and guidelines on Installation, Test & Commissioning procedures and test case development for sub-systems as per requirement.  Site deployment management including highlighting of Installation snags, clearance of snags by taking remedial measures and training of sub-contractor as well as in-house deployment team.  Reviewing Shop drawings and controlling the Mock-up during Pre-stage to ensure optimal FAT of devices and systems that include IT Racks, Switches and Routers, servers as well as CCTV, Access Control and SCADA system.  Devised a complete Test & Commissioning Plan by inputs from all sub-systems and monitored overall test & Commissioning activities on Doha Metro Project  Daily site walk-throughs to control the defects/snags and identify the respective stakeholder.  Worked on Security, Network and communication equipment from multiple vendors like Cisco, Huawei, Bosch, Moxa and Thales (Proprietary equipment).

 Worked as Installation Manager for ISP/OSP supervising multiple sites and sub-contractors at a time  Responsible for complete delivery of project with Test & Commissioning of systems including Initial tests, snags test, Acceptance test etc  Interfaced the customer as Key person for all installation and testing activities  Periodic meetings (Daily/weekly) with supervisors and sub-contractors for day to day improvement in work procedure and performance  Expert on all aspects of installation from network/containment to final device with quality and conformity with Engineering Codes

 Worked as Installation Manager for Telecom Projects covering Radio Network Installation for IBS (In-building Services) for 3G/4G and HSPA  Led the IBS DAS design, implementation and Testing & Commissioning in high rise Buildings, shopping malls, Schools, universities, Dubai metro rail way stations.  Planning of optimal 3G and 4G Coverage in desired IBS locations.  Planning and implementation of Electrical AC/DC Power system for Telecommunication active components, e.g. Battery bank, UPS and standby Alternator.  Implementation quality check and balance.  Expert on all systems and technologies including Radio Access Network, IBS for GSM, 3G and Tetra Radio Installation, WLAN, LAN/WAN, Ethernet, VLAN, PABX, SCN, CCTV and Access Control  Testing & Commissioning as per standard test cases. Responsible for Commissioning and Sites Acceptance from the clients, e.g. Government, Hotels & Resorts, hospitals and private town developers.

 Project Implementation Manager for the FTTH rollout supervising multiple sub-contractors and implementation teams  Test & Commissioning Management Expert for SDN/SDH, DWDM, Radio Networks, Microwaves Communication, RF Overlay on Fiber, PABX, CCTV and Access Control, WLAN, Ethernet, Tetra Radio and Data Communication and Network Bandwidth planning.  Prepared a detailed migration and project implementation & testing plan for project’s successful rollout  Inspection of new civil work completed for OSP architecture  Led teams of professional Engineers, sub cons to implement the network at lightning speeds  Delivery of commissioned network ready for migration  Migration of copper-based customers to GPON FTTH  P2P and P2MP connectivity implementation and testing  Led the smooth migration and integration of services from CO till the end-users supervising all levels

 Worked as the Implementation Manager for the Special Airport Security System Project at Dubai Airports Terminal 3 (Emirates Dedicated Terminal)  Led the installation of Airport systems and devices inclusive of CCTV, Access Control, Biometric and Specialised Detector devices with network cabling and IT infrastructure  Worked on equipment from Cisco, Alcatel-Lucent, Avaya, Pelco, EMC, Bosch, Siemens, Fujikura etc  Responsible for leading installation and testing & commissioning of Fibre Optical back bone SCN network, IP CCTV, FIDS, Wi-Fi, SMATV, TETRA Radio system, SACS, VoIP PABX system and Data communication network (LAN/WAN).  Quality Control of the installations and supervision of quality implementations of ELV Systems within airport premises.  Co-ordination with Lead Engineers and Design team for designing of SCN and services according to TIA/EIA standards for BD rooms, TR rooms and installation of structured cabling for complete airport project.  Reviewing the Shop drawings and reporting issues to the Design Lead to solve as per actual conditions and contractual obligations

 Worked as Project Engineer at Hazara Communications Company for their pilot project of CATV with multimedia capabilities (Video, Voice, and Data comm.) using Motorola broadband equipment.  Designed the 25km first Aerial Fibre Optical cable network in the region using (WAPDA) Pakistan electricity low-voltage power networks poles.  Management of Entire project cycle and smooth delivery to the client including training Project design support, life cycle support, procurement and transport management including support for handover documentation.

ETISALAT CATV & Multimedia expansion project. HFC Network Mapping & Investigation of MDU & SFU  Survey of MDU, SFU & Optical node boundary for CATV design  Roding and Roping of existing telephone conduit  Network infrastructure for coaxial and fibre optical cables.  Installation of head-end product upstream and downstream cabinet with equipment.  Assembling of Optical Node cabinet with Opto-electronic Amplifier, Transmitter, directional coupler and splitter.  Assembly of RF Amplifiers, Directional coupler, splitter  Installation of Power inserter, multimedia taps, UPS & Batteries (48V).  Supervising the sub-contractor for installation of Active and passive devices, structural coaxial cables & powering equipment at IDF & in MDU & SFU  Testing and commissioning of entire CATV system with Return path capabilities  Commissioning of networking equipment, Fibre optical Node, RF amplifier, Multimedia and Headend equipment

 ETISALAT CATV & Multimedia Pilot Project. SUPERVISING MDU and SFU survey team and finalizing site survey report for designing of MDU and SFU hybrid coaxial fibre network for Etisalat E-vision project.  SUPERVISING the test coaxial cables fibre optical cables using different measuring instruments such as OTDRS and TDRS Hewlett Packard network analyzer and Wavetek analyzer 300 KHz – 1300 Wavetek 5000.  Supervising the installation of CATV network equipments and devices such as Optical fibre Node, RF amplifier, Tap OFF in brown and green field area.  Supervising the coaxial cables lying for SFU and MDU  Supervising the drop coaxial cables for CATV subscribers both for MDU and SFU  Supervising the Civil works for OSP in brown and green field area.  Supervising the sub-contractors and coordinating with logistic department.
