During this week long inclusion and college awareness camp, I had the duty of mentoring young adults whom were becoming increasingly more interested in post secondary education. I enjoyed being a positive role model for these high school students, seeing as how it altered my perspective on inner-city culture, and provided me with a chance to assist these young adults in pursuing higher learning, while also trying to have fun and show them an enjoyable time at Champlain College.

Accredited by the Diocese of Nashville, the State of Tennessee, and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Christ the King provides an educational experience that incorporates character formation in a Christian atmosphere, academic excellence and community service. A strong academic curriculum integrates the arts, foreign language, technology, music, band, chorus and physical education along with Accelerated Reader, Accelerated Math and National Catholic Math League. In addition, forensics, chess club, a parochial athletic program, art and theatre enrichment, private guitar and piano lessons are available. Christ the King School is a pre-kindergarten through 8th grade, Roman Catholic elementary school, established in 1937. CKS welcomes children and families of all faith traditions.
