As a Digital volunteer for the four ICC Cricket World Cup matches to be played in Wellington in early 2015. My duties included attending team training's, press conferences and matches to capture content for use across the ICC Cricket World Cup website, App and social media channels. The role entailed interaction with players, fans and officials and required a great deal of self-motivation and a pro-active attitude. Whether it was being first on the scene to interview the latest ‘Tui catch-a-million’ winner, capturing the passion of the crowd as a crucial wicket was taken or coordinating the post-match ‘Twitter Mirror’ selfie with the player of the game. I have a enthusiastic work ethic, punctuality and passion for sport and the media industry. It would be a dream of mine to have a role like this as a full time job.
