In this job role, I lead the planning and development team within Southwestern Energy's Haynesville Division, overseeing a wide range of responsibilities. My role involves facilitating the identification of under and over-stimulated stages for well completion optimization through the implementation of innovative technology. I have spearheaded the development and application of patent-pending pressure sensor surveillance technology for Field Development Initiatives (FDIs), enabling the evaluation of completions efficiency in infill wells based on primary well pressure responses. My work includes conducting various analytical tasks, such as decline curve analysis, typewell curve analysis, FDI analysis, well interference analysis, and hydraulic frac analysis. I apply advanced methodologies like Pressure Transient Analysis (PTA), Diagnostic Fracture Injection Testing (DFIT), and have performed reservoir simulation using ResFrac. This data-driven approach contributes to decision-making and enhances overall well performance. ● Executed a software replacement initiative that yielded annual cost savings of $500M for the client. ● Offered recommendations to increase fracturing loads in wells with wider spacing, leading to a 10% boost in Estimated Ultimate Recovery (EUR). ● Pioneered the integration of state-of-the-art technology into fracturing operations, resulting in substantial cost reductions in water and diverter expenses, with savings ranging from $60K to $500K per well.

In this position, I led the setup of a data acquisition program as the technical lead, integrating data analysis and geological insights to determine optimal landing zones and spacing. I managed the program, featuring downhole pressure gauges, PVT, and DFIT. I authored four SPE technical papers on Fracture Driven Interactions (FDI) as an SME and prepared the annual budget, including ESP procurement for new drilling projects. Collaboration with geologists was crucial for incorporating FDI information into geo-steering plots. I established pressure surveillance guidelines for completions and reviewed drilling and completion trials to inform future development plans. ● Enhanced infill well recovery to within a 5% margin of typewell performance, preserving 100 to 250 MBO per infill well. ● Provided mentorship and guidance to junior reservoir engineers, imparting expertise in Rate Transient Analysis (RTA), DFITs, and best practices in reservoir engineering. ● Undertook surveillance of underperforming wells, which led to effective remediation actions and an average daily production increase of 300 barrels.

In this tenure, I conducted a thorough analysis of well tests for an exploratory Eagle Ford extension well, assisting the client by reviewing drilling and completion reports. Using Prosper, I modeled fluid flow-back and recommended the optimal tubing size for completion. In addition, I performed asset valuation for stacked-pay assets in the Permian Central and Midland Basin, developing type curves and economic assessments to support decision-making. I also offered valuable insights on prospective asset value to a confidential client operating in the Williston Basin and served as an advisor to creditors in assessing asset value for unconventional gas properties in the Texas Haynesville and Cotton Valley areas. Moreover, I executed a Permian field analog analysis for Hunter Oil, updating type curves and economics for year-end reserves, while providing guidance to equity investors on the technical and economic parameters used in the evaluation. ● Accomplished an A&D assessment in the Piceance Basin on behalf of a confidential equity-backed client, resulting in a successful transaction. ● Conducted reservoir and economic evaluations for a Gulf of Mexico (GOM) Shelf asset, contributing to an acquisition bid. ● Performed asset valuations for multiple clients and consistently delivered year-end reserves reports for four consecutive years, adhering to Canadian disclosure standards as a qualified reserves evaluator. ● Assumed the role of Team Technical Manager for the assessment and development (A&D) evaluation of unconventional assets in Mexico for a Mexican client, which involved conducting analog research, Rate Transient Analysis (RTA), and economic evaluations for over 100 wells.

In this job, I spearheaded a team of facilities engineers, completions engineers, and drilling engineers to determine project development costs and perform risk assessments. Our primary objective was to assess development options for tight oil reservoirs in Permian Basin assets to achieve specific goals. I presented technical information to the banking community and potential joint venture development partners, successfully securing financing for asset development. Additionally, I oversaw the annual reserves appraisal and collaborated with a third-party evaluator to ensure accurate and compliant reserve assessments. ● Reconfigured the Data Room in preparation for asset divestiture, which ultimately led to a successful sale even in the face of low oil prices. ● Formulated and executed an advanced strategy that introduced 12M barrels of oil (MMBO) to prove undeveloped (PUD) reserves, replacing the previous vertical infill development plan with 80 horizontal locations. ● Carried out an analysis of waterflood and CO2 flood responses, resulting in the development of a fresh strategy that contributed an additional 15 MMBO to proven reserves and the potential for 40 MMBO in 3P reserves. Updated type curves for new drill economic assessment resulting in strategy change for infill drilling and lease renewal. • New Albany Shale Gas- recommend remediation of shut-in wells and return them to production.
