At miibio, Inc., we exist to tackle one of humanity’s most pressing challenges: how to build a truly sustainable society without relying on finite fossil resources. Our mission is to pioneer a new era of biotech manufacturing powered by light-controlled processes, enabling the efficient and scalable production of Green Chemicals. By leveraging abundant and renewable biomass resources available worldwide, we aim to build a resilient, regenerative industrial foundation that fuels both economic growth and environmental sustainability. As Chief Strategy Officer, I lead business strategy, fundraising, investor relations, B2B partnerships, and intellectual property initiatives, driving miibio’s international expansion and long-term vision. My career began far from the lab—spanning over 15 years as a Master Mariner with MOL, one of the world’s largest shipping companies. I managed complex fleet operations on the North American West Coast and across the Pacific, and I helped establish a Silicon Valley–based corporate venture capital firm to connect maritime operations with breakthrough startup technologies. This journey—from navigating global shipping routes to shaping the future of biotechnology—has reinforced my belief that traditional industries must be transformed through innovation. At miibio, I channel my global operational experience and entrepreneurial drive into building partnerships that bridge industries and regions. Together, we are creating technologies to replace petrochemicals, unlock the power of biomass, and contribute to a regenerative, sustainable future.
