Purchase key components (IC and memory) and allocate those components to the specified OEM/ODM factories (located in Mexico, Thailand, Brazil, Vietnam and Mainland China). The finished goods are wireless home appliance or connected home products, such as cable modems & gateways and set-top boxes. Follow up Clear to Build (CTB) process with OEM/ODM at least weekly and to cover all key components needed to produce the product. Monitor suppliers’ performance and quality. Handle the excess components to brokers and allocate to different OEM/ODM factories.

Sourced & quoted for all new electronic & electromechanical components as engineer’s requirement for all new model quotations, ie. Wires and cable assembly, Power cord, Power inlet, jack & connector, PCB and fuse. Controlled and verify BOM cost of products in order to meet the profit target. Communicated with Engineering department, Marketing department and suppliers for material sourcing, cost and delivery schedule. Negotiated with suppliers to obtain most favorable price, schedule, payment terms and conditions. Involved new supplier sourcing and evaluation to strengthen the lean supplier base. Participate in vendor performance and quality assurance tasks. Regular material cost reduction proposal with market material price trend study. Handled material standardization (i.e. Power cord standardization for better total cost of ownership) and vendor consolidation.

Contacted with overseas customers and handle their enquiries and prepare quotations. Checked the BOM cost and ensure profit margin assigned. Followed up new model projects, purchase orders and pre-production samples to customers. Communicate with R&D Department, factory and production team. Arranged and coordinated goods delivery to overseas customers, issue invoices and shipping documents to apply to the customs purposes. Prepared purchase orders to suppliers and follow up the delivery status. Coordinate after-sales repair orders and prepare insurance reports to customers.
